Google Algorithm Update

Google Algorithms – While searching anything on google thousands of results come for the single word, did you ever thought how does this is happen, how the ranking takes place, what is the criteria for this ranking? How does google doing this…!!!

Actually this whole thing is sorted by google with the help of algorithms . Some people might confess that google has been using a group of human tester to evaluate search returns and manually sorting through best links.

But google denied and declared that it’s the network system behind it. We cant rely on human being sort and rank system. Hence key role is of google algorithms.

Google Algorithms

What are algorithms? What are google algorithms? For finding some information we instantly do google search According to the Internet research firm Netcraft, there are nearly 150,000,000 active Web sites on the Internet today. The task to arranging them in order is done by google algorithms.

Basically algorithms are the sets of rules defined to complete a set of program using finite steps. In technical world these are created to perform very suitable and specific tasks. The google algorithm is the complex designed system used to extract data from its search index and instantly delivers the best query results to the searched values.

In earlier time, google used to make only a template of helpful update once in a year while nowadays google updates it algorithms thousand times a year. This algorithm uses a combinations of various algorithm and the ranking, with its relevance it gives SEARCH ENGINE RESULT PAGE (SERPs).

Google Algorithms

Since many of these  updates are technical and very small small and might not seen in regular  search basis hence these might not observed by the common people. The ranking of pages on searching there are few element which provides preference in page search results, those are :

  • The keyword’s appearance in the page’s title, header tags, and meta description
  • The amount of naturally-occurring, organic links to the page
  • The way the website performs on mobile devices, such as smart phones and tablets

When the google algorithm reads a webpage, it return some marks to the pages depends on the no. of keywords and that adds up the rank. That numerical value is then added to the end result. Thus, the web page which  has the most desirable traits will rise to the top of the page rankings because the algorithm assigns it more importance.

Whole ranking process

Most users tend to concentrate on the first few search results, so getting a spot at the top of the list usually means more user traffic. So how does Google determine search results standings? What we do know is this, as per the various sources:

  • PageRank assigns a rank or score to every search result. The higher the page’s score, the further up the search results list it will appear.
  • Scores are partially determined by the number of other Web pages that link to the target page. Each link is counted as a vote for the target. The logic behind this is that pages with high quality content will be linked to more often than mediocre pages.
  • Not all votes are equal. Votes from a high-ranking Web page count more than votes from low-ranking sites. You can’t really boost one Web page’s rank by making a bunch of empty Web sites linking back to the target page.
  • Other factors that might affect scoring include the how long the site has been around, how and where the keywords appear on the site and the age of the links going to and from the site. Google tends to place more value on sites that have been around for a while. This google ranking is really very important.

Google very rarely shows any indication of the changes in its algorithms unless there are majority changes. Smaller changes are made internally. Instead, it’s imperative to simply acknowledge the power the Google algorithm has, and try to produce the best website possible. Consequently, visitors will be pleased with what they see, which is always a positive ranking signal
